Resilients
Selection, sweeping, specifics.
After our associates help the builder select the right
vinyl flooring style, the correct installation methods
will keep both the product and the homeowner's
satisfaction in tip-top shape. Of course, Metro
Carpets crews are not chosen for their ability to get
the job done quickly. On the contrary, our people
are selected for their experience and training. As
with many different types of flooring, vinyl will hold
up best when the appropriate tools and adhesives are
used. When working with this material, the
subfloor prep is critical. We sweep clean the
subfloor so no unwanted particles and dust can interfere
with the floor and adhesive bonding. Additionally,
we follow manufacturers' guidelines that suggest testing
for moisture levels as yet another step to proper
installation.Sub Floor Preparation - Sanding
Another service that we provide to our New Construction
Home Builders is subfloor preparation. We have a
distinct program that we offer: “Sanding of the Plywood
Subfloor.” During the construction process
subfloors, both OSB and Plywood, become damaged, warped
and generally beat up. In order for the floor
covering that is to be installed above it to succeed,
some floor preparation is necessary. Metro Carpets
has crews dedicated to sanding these subfloor joints to
eliminate high peaks and valleys and to enhance the
performance of the actual floor being installed.
